лана посвящено памяти погибших в бло-
кадном Ленинграде и тем, кто выжил и смог
возродить наш величественный город.
Пусть память о них будет благословен-
на, и пусть никогда мы не забудем тех, кто
отдал свою жизнь за победу, благодаря
которой мы живы.
Моя семья, как и многие другие, постра-
дала во время блокады Ленинграда. Я по-
терял дедушек и бабушек, но мой отец вы-
нес все испытания вместе с героическим
населением Ленинграда и был спасен.

Kaplan, is dedicated to the memory of those
who perished in the Siege of Leningrad and
to those who survived, creating a renaissance
in our majestic city.
May their memories be a blessing — and
may we never forget those who gave up their
lives for the freedom that gave birth to us.
Like so many others, during the blockade
of Leningrad my own family suffered terribly,
I lost my paternal grandparents but my father
withstood the difficulties alongside the heroic
people of Leningrad.
It is to them that this book is dedicated.
